What is OMM?

Through Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), Doctors of Osteopathy (DOs) use their hands to recognize illness and injury and encourage the body's natural self-healing process. OMM includes techniques that apply gentle pressure to manipulate your muscles and joints. When OMM is used as part of a comprehensive treatment and wellness plan, it helps relieve pain and can reduce the duration and frequency of symptoms.

When appropriate, OMM can enhance the effectiveness of, and even replace, the need for medications or surgery. DOs bring an added dimension of medical care since they understand the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit. They are trained to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms.

What our patients are saying about us

Clinic values patients

Dr. Maples is a really talented, compassionate doctor. He listens and takes his time with patients. He has a real gift and is great at what he does. It is nice to see a family-owned and operated clinic that values patients as opposed to the hustle and bustle of a larger corporate brand. Thanks Still Point!

Dr. Maples is hands down the best DO who practices OMM

Dr. Maples is hands down the best DO who practices OMM that my son and I have in our lives. This is considerable; Dr. Maples does an excellent job of listening to our bodies/nervous systems and utilizes the most gentle approach possible. A little bit goes a long way. The support staff is top notch at Still Point as well and this is the most welcoming medical office we've experienced in Colorado.

I am very pleased with the level of care

"I was encouraged by my son, a medical student in a DO program, to find an O&M doctor who could address a prolonged neck irritation that wasn’t resolving on its own. I found Dr. Maples from a Google search. I am very pleased with the level of care/treatment that I received. Within 4 visits, spaced over a 3 month time span my neck issue has been resolved. I liked Dr. Maples approach of treatment, home exercises to be completed on your own & time to let the tissues heal. I plan to periodically return for future assessments to keep everything in check!"
